UK consumers record highest engagement levels in Europe

Tweet New research has revealed that the UK audience is the most engaged across Europe with consumers spending an average of 37 hours online on their PC.

comScore’s UK Digital Future in Focus 2013 report, which examined key digital insights, also revealed that the UK has the biggest proportion of 18-24 year-old mobile users, contributing to the 64% of UK mobile owners that use a smartphone.

In terms of tablets, the research showed that over 6m UK consumers had a smartphone as well as a tablet in December 2012 with nearly a third of page views now taking place on a smartphone or tablet. Driven by proliferation rates, mcommerce was shown to grow rapidly with one in five Brist now using their smartphone to purchase goods or service in the final month of 2012.
